About the Candidate

Kamala Harris is the junior U.S. Senator for the state of California. Before her election to the Senate, she was California’s Attorney General and the District Attorney of San Francisco. She is the second African-American woman and first South Asian American to serve in the U.S. Senate. Kamala Harris received her BA from Howard University, and her JD from UC Hastings College of Law. She does not need a chaperone to eat dinner with other people.
